Artist Spotlight

Black Smurf is a rapper from East Memphis who has been making waves in the rap scene for years now. His early songs like “Pretty Thuggin”, “Nina” featuring Teebowww, and “JuggLordz” featuring GothMoneyKarma pioneered the early sounds of the underground which was soon to take over.

When talking about the early days of the underground, it is impossible to leave Black Smurf out of the conversation. Collaborating with artists like Xavier Wulf, Lofty305, and KirbLaGoop in 2014, Black Smurf was quickly recognized as an artist to look out for.

In 2015, He released his EP “Black Suicide” which was a collaboration project with $uicideboy$. The EP has over 30 million streams on Spotify alone. The duo and Black Smurf became frequent collaborators and dropped multiple follow-up projects together.

Going on to release multiple singles, EPs, and albums over the next few years, Black Smurf’s fanbase continued to go rapidly as he cemented his spot in the rap scene. Projects like “Hustle God”, “Hustle Warfare”, and “Invader” continued his growing discography, giving fans more of the music they have come to love.

Black Smurf has not slowed down when it comes to releasing new music. To this day he is still putting out the quality sound he introduced to us years ago.
